Gary Shawkey’s Secrets Reviewed!

Gary Shawkey’s Secrets is perhaps misnamed – it has nothing to
do with the person of Gary Shawkey! He is only the interviewer
of this ebook, with the interviewee being Brian Garvin who I know
many of you have heard of. If you haven’t then just know that he
is one of the most successful if not THE most successful internet
affiliate marketer in the world.

The course begins with Brian detailing how he started making
money online – which of course is veyr useful since he provides
a model to follow which has been very successful.

One of the best parts of this beginning part is the extreme
detail Brian goes into. It really is amazing. He lists out very
definite steps for placing ezine ads for example. He gives a
simple step by step plan for making money in ANY program.

The guidelines for promoting a program, especially via ezines,
is really above and beyond anything I’ve seen. Brian really shows
what actually works.

The next section deals with “newbie” questions. If you are new
to internet/affiliate marketing, I really believe that you cannot
miss this part. Brian lays out so much valuable information here
its simply jaw-dropping.

What really surprises me in this ebook is the lack of hype and in
its place the amount of genuine information. This is not a short
ebook, however it has more useful information on affiliate
marketing than anywhere else.

If you are looking for a step by step action guide to making
BIG money with affiliate programs, than Brian’s program cannot be beat.

The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth – by Stephen Pierce

This is an ebook with a little over 200 pages of pure information. This ebook was released December 1, 2002, so it is very new. All of the information is extremely up to date, you will find no references to outdated sources.

The first fourth of the ebook concentrates on debunking popular internet myths, including the mass psychology that is happening which you may know nothing about.

The next part discusses the truths about ezine advertising, and owning your own opt-in list.

After that comes a significant section on how Stephen brings in over $30,000 a month. It details how he brought in $47,000 selling 965 copies of an ebook in 49 days. He shows you the letters he used and exactly how he did it. He then goes into the best way to bring in consistent income every month.

The next part is the best in the entire ebook. He shows you how to get top 10 search engine rankings (primarily in Google!) completely ethically and effectively. There is a template included which you simply type in your keywords and phrases and you get a search engine customized page. (Which by the way has been proven to work every time for top 10 positions in Google)

Now Smart Pages have received a lot of talk. Some people report that their sites have been banned for using them – others report fantastic results. This is one of those things that you will need to try for yourself. It may work extremely well for you, or it may result in your site being banned from Google. You have been warned.

The last part of the book has some miscellaneous tactics that are quite effective and I am already seeing results from them.

One of the bonuses is Stephen’s personal reviews of about 70 of the best internet marketing ebooks, private sites, and software. Although his reviews are short and don’t really go into depth, they give the thumbs up or thumbs down for many of the big name products. Some of the products are so old that no one should really be considering purchasing them anyway, but he has reviews for basically everything he owns. The other good point is that I have not reviewed many of the products in this ezine that he has. These reviews are a perfect complement to the reviews you get here that are of new products. He covers every big name course in one book.

Overall, I highly recommend this ebook as it gives everyone a full update on the current internet marketing scene, and the search engine template could be worth its weight in gold. You can check out the Whole Truth here.

Amazing Formula by Marlon Sanders Reviewed!

The Amazing Formula by Marlon Sanders was the first ebook I ever purchased. It is located at

Let me go through the good parts of this ebook first. The section on sales letters is very good. Primarily because Marlon himself is so good at it. His sales letters are worth a read simply because they are so effective and you can pick up ideas from them.

Marlon also details specific examples of how people have made it big, although I would have to say these are out of the range of a normal person.

The entire ebook gives a solid basis in Internet Marketing without the fluff for sure. There’s definitely no BS in this ebook.

Now for the not so good parts:

First, this ebook is old. It has been updated but the basic content is the same. Everything on the Internet happens at lightning speed and things must be current to keep up. Banner advertising is mentioned as being highly profitable, however you would be hard pressed to find someone today using banner advertising extensively and profitably.

Overall, the examples are just too out of whack with what a normal person could really accomplish. I believe you should hold out on this ebook unless you are really ready to start writing your own sales letters.

The final thought I have on this product has to do with the 100 pages of testimonials. That is for sure a lot of good comments, and all of them are “real.” That is, they are from real people who have purchased the product. They are not necessarily true statements on behalf of the person who wrote them. My reasoning for this is, 2 weeks after you order the product, you get a follow up email which offers you a free product (not available elsewhere) if you, in return, send them a testimonial.

Please note that this is what happened when I purchased it, and it could change at any time how they operate this.

Now I would have no problem if 2 weeks later they simply asked for a testimonial. But, unfortunately, I believe the offer of a free product has people simply making up a simple comment to get the free info. I also believe that the vast majority of the testimonials are from people who have barely begun to use (if at all) the things mentioned in the ebook. 2 weeks is hardly enough time to see results for most people.

My only point with the testimonial part is to help you realize:
1) How they got so many
2) How they could be misleading
